Project Brief
The house was required to provide four bedrooms, study, kitchen/family/meals, formal living and dining rooms plus bathrooms, laundry and double garage.

Design Response
The design is expressed as a simple first floor volume supported by a series of volumes and vertical planes on the ground floor.
The entrance hall is a double height space which connects to the garage, study and remaining living and service areas on the ground floor. The upper floor accommodates four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Due to the constricted nature of the site, the house has been built against the southern boundary to maximise access to sun and light from the north. The formal and casual living areas are unified by a glazed perimeter wall providing views and access to the rear garden. A linear skylight ensures generous natural light to the kitchen.
